SpendweThese Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Spendwe mobile apps and the spendwe.com website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. The Service
Spendwe is a personal and couple expense-tracking app. Core features work offline on your device without an account, and sharing a household budget with one other person does not require signing up either. Adding your email address is optional and enables cloud backup and restore across devices.
2. Eligibility & your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
- If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping access to your email or sign-in provider secure, and for activity under your account.
- Sign-in uses a one-time email code or Apple/Google sign-in — there is no password for you to manage.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:
- break the law or infringe others' rights while using it;
- attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours, or probe, scan or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
- reverse engineer, resell, or build a competing service using the Service's non-public parts; or
- upload malicious content or attempt to overload the system.
4. Your content
Your expenses, categories, budgets and other entries are yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, back up, sync and display that content to you and, where you choose, to your linked household partner. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. You can export or delete your content at any time.
5. Household sharing
If you link accounts to share a household, the entries in that household become visible to both members. Only share with someone you trust. Either member can leave the household; doing so stops future sharing but does not retroactively hide entries the other member already synced.
6. Availability & changes
We work to keep the Service reliable but provide it "as is" and "as available." We may add, change, or discontinue features, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily limits availability. Cloud sync and notifications depend on third-party platforms (Apple, Google, and our hosting providers) that are outside our control.
7. Price
Spendwe is currently free to use and contains no advertising. If we introduce any paid features in the future, we will make the terms clear before you're charged; anything you already have will not be taken away without notice.
8. Financial disclaimer
Spendwe is a tracking and budgeting tool for your own record-keeping. It is not accounting, tax, or financial advice, and figures (including automatic currency conversions and receipt scanning) may contain errors. Always verify important numbers yourself.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and Spendwe is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the system.
11. Third-party stores
When you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, those platforms' terms also apply to your download and any purchases made through them.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll update the date above and, for material changes, give more prominent notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
